2024 London Spring Shogi Tournament

Results

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the tournament. We had 14 participants, travelling from France, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Germany, Ireland and various parts of the UK (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield and London.)

 It was a strong field, with Taichi Kobayashi taking first place with a perfect 7/7 score. The next 3 players (Kazushi Shibutani, Steven Cain and Takuya Hattori)  were tied on 5 points.

16 - 17 March

The London Shogi Club will be hosting a tournament on the weekend of 16/17 March 2024. This tournament is open to players of all abilities.

We will also be arranging a dinner on the Saturday night. Please let us know if you wish to attend this when you register to help us plan numbers.

7 Round Swiss based Tournament 

Time Limit: 40 minutes + 30 seconds byo-yomi

We have booked a private room at Yoshi Sushi, a restaurant close to the venue that specialises in Japanese and Korean Cuisine from 6pm

2024 ISF UK Qualification Tournament

Results This tournament is now complete. You can find the tournament report and results  here Tournament Information The British Shogi Federation has been asked to provide a UK representative for the International Shogi Forum to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in November 2024.  The representative will be provided with travelling expenses, and food and accommodation for the duration of the event.  We are holding a qualification tournament on 18 May 2024.
