2024 ISF UK Qualification Tournament

The British Shogi Federation has been asked to provide a UK representative for the International Shogi Forum to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in November 2024. 

The representative will be provided with travelling expenses, and food and accommodation for the duration of the event. 

We are holding a qualification tournament on 18 May 2024.

2024 London Spring Shogi Tournament

Results A big thank you to everyone who took part in the tournament. We had 14 participants, travelling from France, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Germany, Ireland and various parts of the UK (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield and London.)  It was a strong field, with Taichi Kobayashi taking first place with a perfect 7/7 score. The next 3 players (Kazushi Shibutani, Steven Cain and Takuya Hattori)  were tied on 5 points.
